Louise Gorman
Louise is a highly qualified and experienced education professional with a very interesting and diverse journey, so far, that’s involved needs-led creative subject teaching, development and management of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) service(s), LA SEND strategic leadership across mainstream, specialist and alternative provision education settings and SEND Law.
Louise is proud of her accomplishments, especially her work advising 17
partnership schools’ Headteachers & Senior Leadership Teams of their legal
duties / responsibilities to their SEND pupils and Inclusion. Her exceptional work was also recognised by the Local Authority School Improvement Officer, who appraised her as an “outstanding practitioner,” noting her “significant influence on SEN and inclusive practice across partnership schools”.
Her career spans over three decades and is still driven by her passion to improve outcomes and the lives of SEND children, young people and their families through her independent practice, setting up Acacia Education in 2010.
Louise lives in the Yorkshire Dales, loves travel and music but most of all enjoys time in her garden with her 2 dogs, her rescue hens and of course, her husband!
